Our fifth and final maker challenge as part of our Microsoft Dream Space project was the Tower Challenge. Pupils had to design and build a tower that could withstand an earthquake. The tower had to be at least 40cm tall and be able to remain standing when subjected to shaking, simulating an earthquake. We were focusing on the coding skill of bug/debug during this challenge. Pupils designed some very impressive towers!
The next five Dream Space lessons will focus on coding, taking all of the skills practiced in the maker challenges and applying them to coding using the micro:bit.
