School Garden

11th Apr 2025

This week, our school garden got a fresh burst of life as students from all classes rolled up their sleeves and got planting! Under the guidance of Ms Poyntz, we’ve added salad leaves, radish and parsnip to the already growing vegetables in the school garden.

From lettuce leaves to carrots, potatoes to garlic the students have been hands-on at every stage and learning about when and how to plant as well as how to care for each vegetable.

Not only is this project a great way to learn about science, nutrition, and sustainability, but it also gives students the chance to enjoy the outdoors and work together as a team.

We’ll continue updating you on our garden’s progress throughout the term, and we’re looking forward to harvesting our home-grown produce at the end of the school year!

Stay tuned for more green-fingered updates—and maybe even a school salad day soon! 🌿πŸ₯—
