We are delighted to begin working towards an Amber Flag for the school this year. The Amber Flag is an inititive from Pieta House around promote positive mental health (full details can be found here). We begun the process by electing our Amber Committee – this is made up of a representative from each class. The committee are:
Katelyn, Tom, BrĂain, Andrew, Paddy, Jan, Ben and Will
They had some great ideas at our first meeting and we look forward to working towards our next goal in the coming weeks.
A date for your diary – Friday October 7th will be Mental Health Awareness Day in school. We have a range of activities planned and look forward to the day.
Yoga – taster session Zumba – taster session
We have been busy implementing some the ideas from the Amber committee this term. Our Feel Good Fixes are going really well and everyone is enjoying the opportunity to have some fun.

We are working on our next goal – planning an inclusive fun day to build our co-operative skills and strengthen the team spirit we have in the school. This will be part of our Mental Health Awareness Week.
