Amber Flag

Our Amber Flag Committee

We are delighted to begin working towards an Amber Flag for the school this year. The Amber Flag is an inititive from Pieta House around promote positive mental health (full details can be found here). We begun the process by electing our Amber Committee – this is made up of a representative from each class. The committee are:

Katelyn, Tom, Bríain, Andrew, Paddy, Jan, Ben and Will

They had some great ideas at our first meeting and we look forward to working towards our next goal in the coming weeks.

A date for your diary – Friday October 7th will be Mental Health Awareness Day in school. We have a range of activities planned and look forward to the day.

We are working on our next goal – planning an inclusive fun day to build our co-operative skills and strengthen the team spirit we have in the school. This will be part of our Mental Health Awareness Week.

It was great to have the youngest and oldest members of the Amber Committee raise the flag on Wednesday at the end of year Graduation night – well done everyone!
