We are researching and compiling projects on wheat at the moment. We’ve looked at the process from planting the seed to harvesting the grain to producing a food. 

 

As part of the project we talked about bread and decided to test how we can keep it fresh for the longest time. The experiment is currently in our classroom and we will check it over the coming days and weeks.

The results are in:  After 2 weeks mould started to appear on the bread that was wrapped.  We also noticed that all the unwrapped bread had no mould, even after 3 weeks.
